If the dispatcher requests that we share an alert more broadly with our networks, weigh carefully risks with sharing information on unsecured platforms. Be aware of the possible implications of what, where & with whom you share information.
Hotline to Signal
Simple script
Step 1
Hotline receives a call
- Dispatcher to Signal group
- ICE Alert ! for a "watch" (not confirmed)
ICE Alert !! for "confirmed" (ICE presence is confirmed)
Step 2
- Rapid Responders to Signal thread
- "R" for received
Step 3
- Dispatcher to Signal thread
- Provide location
Step 4
- Rapid responders to Signal thread
- Type in your estimated arrival time
DO NOT add anything to the chat if you can not respond
Step 5
Follow the Dispatcher's lead
- Dispatcher & Rapid responders to Signal thread
- SALUTE information
SALUTE
- Size — How many officers/vehicles?
- Activity — What are the doing?
- Location — Exact location or cross streets
- Uniform — What are they wearing?
- Time — When did you see it?
- Equipment — Any weapons or devices visible?
Step 6
Last to leave scene
- Signal group to chat
- Last to leave the scene sends "D" (for done)
- Dispatcher to Signal group
- Confirm the action is complete

Wrap up
- Responders gather
- Process & collect documentation
