Big Tech is making billions off harming Minnesota kids. They think the rules don't apply to them but Keith Ellison, the People's Lawyer, has been leading the fight to hold them accountable.
He took Meta and TikTok to court for hooking our kids on their apps. He stood up to Elon Musk to protect Minnesotans from AI Nudification.
Keith is fighting to make sure data centers don't drive up our power bills or drain our water. Anyone who makes it harder for Minnesotans to afford their lives has to go through Keith.
Join us to learn about the landscape around where Minnesota is, and where we can go in the fight to afford our lives, and our privacy.

Join us for a Neighborhood Block Party, with live music, food trucks, and voting information. Be part of the Northern Spirit of civic engagement and love of community.
For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it's a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing our community together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.
No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.

Vote early!!
from our friends at Duluth Indivisible
You can vote in person two ways before Election Day in Minnesota: in person absentee, and in person early voting.
The first day for “in person absentee voting” is Friday, September 18th. This is also the first day that absentee ballots are mailed. To vote “absentee in person,” go to the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall (Room 318) or the County Auditor’s office (Room 214) in the St. Louis County Courthouse. Complete an application for an absentee ballot, fill it out (you’ll need to know your MN ID or Social Security number), and turn it in. The ballot goes in a signature envelope and is secured for later review by the ballot board.
The first day to vote “early in person” in Minnesota is Friday, October 16th. In person early voting runs through November 2nd. This is new for 2026. For this, you sign a certification that you are an eligible voter, receive a ballot, mark it, and feed it into a ballot counter, just like at your regular polling place.
Regular hours for in person voting
- Duluth City Hall (Room 318, 8:30am—4:00pm)
- St. Louis County Courthouse (Room 214, 8:00am–4:30pm)
Extended hours
- Saturdays, October 24th and 31st: 9:00am–3:00pm
- Sunday, November 1st: 9:00am–3:00pm
- Tuesday, October 27th open until 7:00pm
- Monday, November 2nd open until 5:00pm

Neighbor2Neighbor — Get out the Vote
from Indivisible
This election is all about winning affordability for working people and accountability for a corrupt regime. To win, we need to look beyond partisan politics and reach our communities – which is exactly what Indivisibles have been doing for years.
Our Neighbor2Neighbor program is our tool for having impactful conversations with voters near you. Instead of getting dozens of doors in someone else’s community, Neighbor2Neighbor provides you with 10 neighbors who need to be turned out to vote this year. You’ll get a short list of addresses, a simple script, some best practices, and a printable handout – it’s that easy! There’s no app to download, and you can have these conversations on your own time. Sign up to receive the next ten closest doors when you’re done!
In MN, we are getting Neighbor2Neighbor for the whole state.

Amnesty International Calls for Abolition of ICE
In a new report alleging human rights abuses in the Trump administration’s immigration operations
from the Minnesota Reformer
"The report focuses on documenting human rights violations in ICE operations in the Twin Cities, Chicago, New Orleans and Washington, DC, including racially discriminatory immigration enforcement; unjustified use of force by federal agents; unlawful killings by federal agents; repression of protests through tear gas and pepper spray; unlawful surveillance; and inhumane detention conditions.
"It’s the first time the organization has called for the abolition of ICE. Amy Fischer, Amnesty’s director of refugee and migrant rights, said it’s rare move for the organization to call for an agency to be fully abolished, but that the report shows the agency has reached a tipping point after decades of 'mass impunity.'
"'There are simply no reforms that would bring this agency into alignment with United States right human rights obligations,' Fischer said in a press call Thursday."

New Neighbors Program
Duluth YWCA
The Duluth YWCA provides critical help with utilities, rent & more.
We are grateful for the work being done by the Duluth YWCA. We hope
you will donate to their work if you are able.
We welcome their recent announcement:
"YWCA Duluth has been responding to the evolving needs of our community since 1893. We use data and lived experience to guide our efforts. Our 2025 community assessment highlighted a critical challenge — immigrant communities cannot fully participate in social, political, economic, and cultural life. This participation is essential for the vibrancy and resilience of Northeastern Minnesota.
"In response, we partnered with Justice North and ESHARA to become a social service access hub and launched the New Neighbors Program in 2026. This initiative is supported by state funding. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of our New Neighbors. We believe in the power of collaboration and referrals."
Justice North
